Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Current GOV.UK guidance lists grants of £7,500 for air source heat pumps, £7,500 for ground source heat pumps and £5,000 for eligible biomass boilers. An additional £1,500 may apply to qualifying oil or LPG heated off-gas properties until March 2027.

Smart Export Guarantee
Ofgem confirms that participating electricity suppliers pay eligible small-scale generators for low-carbon electricity exported to the grid. Rates, contract lengths and terms are set by each supplier and must be above zero.

- Tariffs and contract terms vary by supplier
- Suitable export metering is required
- Self-consumption remains an important design factor
Closed legacy schemes
The Feed-in Tariff closed to new applicants in April 2019, the Non-Domestic RHI closed to new applications in March 2021 and the Domestic RHI closed to new applicants in March 2022. Older Futurum articles are redirected here so historic wording is not mistaken for a current offer.
