Futurum are busy booking trade and country shows for 2016.

The Pig and Poultry Show – Stoneleigh, Warwickshire – May 10th and 11th –

The British Pig & Poultry Fair is the leading event for the pig and poultry sectors, making it an ideal opportunity to meet and engage with producers and the allied industry. Taking place every 2 years the next Fair will be on Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th May 2016 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

North Yorkshire County Show – Otterington Hall, Northallerton – 19th June –

The 38th North Yorkshire County Show will be held at Otterington Hall, between Northallerton and Thirsk on Sunday 19th June this year

Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate, Yorkshire, – 12th – 14th July –

The Great Yorkshire Show features the best of British farming and is England’s premier agricultural show. Held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate it gives first-hand experience of agriculture and rural life through demonstrations and exhibitions as well as a ‘not to be missed’ insight into the very latest in the agricultural industry. There are exciting ring displays, our main ring attraction for 2016 is Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Display Team and we will have more than 1,200 stands with everything from country clothing to combine harvesters.

Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), it is held each July and attracts around 130,000 visitors over the three days. Dates for the 2016 event are Tuesday 12 – Thursday 14 July which will be the 158th show. Tickets go on sale from 1st March 2016.

Wensleydale Agricultural Show, Leyburn Showground, – Saturday 27th August –

Wensleydale Agricultural Show is a traditional dales show, located close to Leyburn, North Yorkshire in the heart of Wensleydale. Wensleydale Show features an extensive range of competitive events for livestock such as sheep, cattle, horses and poultry. There will be over 60 classes in poultry alone, ranging from large fowls to true bantams and an egg section. There are also horticultural and handicraft classes. Dry Stone Walling Demonstration and Wensleydale Sheep competitions reflect local aspects. Ring displays continue throughout the day, many trade stands offer a wide range of products & produce and Leyburn band plays.

Dorset Count Show – Dorchester, Dorset – September 3rd and 4th –

So little has changed and yet everything has changed

– it is still mainly run by farming families and those with an interest in farming, horticulture, food and the countryside. Competitions bring out the best from the area to challenge for the cups, trophies and awards. Food and Drink are abundant in all corners of the showground, entertainment is laid on and best of all it becomes one big social event for Dorchester and Dorset; nothing really has changed!

APF Show – Ragley, Warwickshire – September 15th to 17th –

APF 2016 is a biannual event. This will be the 21st Exhibition. The first Exhibition was held at Longleat Estate in 1976. It is returning to Ragley Estate after being staged there in 2004, 2006, 2012 and 2014 The Exhibition is the largest such event in the UK and the 3rd largest in Europe It is the leading exhibition for the forestry, woodland, arboriculture, wood fuel and utility sectors in the UK. 270 Exhibitors and 20 000 visitors are expected over the three days of the show. Over 2000 exhibitor staff and thousands of visitors will bring more than £1million pounds into the local economy during the course of the Exhibition in terms of hotel bookings and meals. It features a 2040m demonstration circuit where machines are shown working in a realistic setting. With exhibitors on both sides of the circuit that is over 2½ miles of working machinery. An estimated £30 million pounds of machinery will be on show.
