As 2015 gets under way we have just updated our marketing and business plan following a very successful year in which we increased our full time staff as well as our product offering. Biomass in 2014 became our biggest sector but solar PV remains strong for us with solar thermal, heat pumps and electric vehicle charge point sales growing too.
During our time in business the renewable energy market has continued to grow and change as its always done, with or without the current subsidies. In just the last 3 years the amount of solar installers though has dropped from almost 5000 to under 2800. A lot of those that have packed up and gone have either gone bust, wound up their business or have gone back to doing whatever they did prior such as double glazing, conservatories or traditional carbon fuel heating.
We remain committed to renewables but are mindful of advances and the increased efficiencies of traditional boilers and in particular condensing gas boilers. As such we are now Gas Safe registered.
Our plans and product range will no doubt continue to evolve especially after our annual visit to Eco-Build in March but one thing will remain, and that’s our attention to quality.
During the Feed in Tariff boom it was and remains a very competitive market on solar PV but we have never lost sight of our goal to be the best installer in our sector. It would be all too easy to drop prices and with it quality as we rush to the next job to make ends meet.
To underline our quality first ethic we applied successfully to become a Which@ Trusted Trader and are now
pleased to announce that after a lengthy process of audit and accreditation, we at Futurum are now officially a Which? Trusted Trader.
The process involves a credit check, customer references, a thorough examination of business processes, an interview and assessment audit and our pledge to the Which? Strict Code of Conduct.
Futurum have always strived to be the best in the business and work to very high standards in all our business practices. This is written into our business and marketing plans and becoming a Which? Trusted Trader is an endorsement of our standards.
We have long since signed up to Checkatrade where we rate an average of 9.9 from 10 and the Which? Approval further underlines are attention to provide clients with a first class service.
At Futurum we do not hard sell and do not employ telesales teams or use underhand sales techniques to close the sale.
We have always taken a consultative approach to sales and a first class approach to installations using only the best equipment and training our installers to the highest standards.
We are proud of being awarded this accreditation and invite you to call us for your renewable energy needs and find out for yourself why we are rated so highly.
